Dedicated modeling: when a custom scope is needed

A custom BIM arrangement becomes relevant when the practice's volume or working requirements exceed a standard monthly pattern. BIM12 Dedicated starts from fifteen projects, with custom pricing from €600 per project. The actual scope and commercial fit need discussion; the starting figure is not a universal quote for every building or specialist requirement.

Describe the demand pattern

Prepare a forecast showing project count, included floors, expected readiness dates and likely peaks. Distinguish recurring architectural work from unusual assignments that need separate decisions. Identify the office standards, review routines and communication needs that a dedicated arrangement must support. A large monthly total does not explain whether submissions arrive evenly or all at once. The timing and completeness of the source information matter when planning a working relationship that can serve the practice reliably.

Understand the offer components

Dedicated includes everything in Pro, together with an assigned account lead, priority and one custom extension per month. Clarify the purpose, boundaries and expected preparation for that extension before treating it as a defined deliverable. Do the same for any special reporting or integration requirement. The word dedicated should lead to concrete agreements about responsibilities and workflow, not assumptions that all requests, disciplines or software developments are automatically included regardless of complexity or available information.

Keep technical scope explicit

Confirm the architectural elements, information depth, output formats and required Revit environment. Identify engineering, specialist coordination or unusual detail needs separately. Explain how drawings, questions, reviews and revisions will pass between the practice and the service. Discuss what happens when priorities change or a project arrives incomplete. The shared BIM12 conditions around complete inputs, floor-based delivery and change rounds still require a clear understanding of the particular commission and any custom terms agreed for the relationship.

Prepare a Dedicated brief

  • Show the expected project volume, floor counts and submission pattern so a custom proposal reflects both the amount of work and its practical timing.
  • Describe the account relationship and custom extension you need in concrete terms, asking for deliverables and boundaries rather than relying on the dedicated label alone.
  • Identify special standards, specialist interfaces and additional requirements before pricing, keeping the starting project figure distinct from a confirmed proposal for your actual commission.

Bring a representative brief and a realistic month of work to the capacity audit or follow-up conversation. Ask for a proposal that states capacity, responsibilities, deliverables and the custom services in understandable terms. Dedicated support fits when a practice can describe a sustained need and a repeatable workflow. A precise agreement is more valuable than selecting the option solely because it carries the highest volume label.

General guidance: each project's scope is confirmed before commissioning.
